Ms. Schenk's Science Class

Classroom Rules

1. Follow directions.

2. Be prepared. Make sure you have everything before you come in.
     a. Once you have entered the classroom, go to your seat.
     b. You are not to leave the classroom except for emergencies.
     c. Lack of preparation is not an emergency.

3. Be organized. When it is time for class to begin:
     a. Stop all talking.
     b. Have all materials in their proper places.
          1). On your desk should be:
               a). your science book (open to the day's topic).
               b). your science binder,
                    (1). opened to the day's assignment (if one is due), or
                    (2). opened to your notes.
               c). your agenda book (opened to the day's date).
               d). your pencil case (red, blue, and black pens; mechanical pencils; hi-lighter; white-out).
          2). Materials not needed for class should be under your chair in the book rack.

4. Be courteous at all times:
     a. No interruptions are permitted during class discussion.
     b. There is to be no talking while assignments are being graded or while working on
     assignments, quizzes, or tests.
     c. During question-answer sessions, raise your hand and wait to be called on.

5. Be respectful of others and their property at all times.
     a. Keep all hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
     b. Sitting on desk tops or other counters is not allowed.
     c. Do not write on, deface, or otherwise damage school property.

6. Items inappropriate to a learning environment should not be brought to class.
