Your child is to use their agenda book to record assignments and upcoming quizzes and tests. Frequently, information is given a week at a time so your child may plan ahead. Some of my students bring up their agenda books after class for me to initial, this insures that they have recorded the days activities or assignments correctly. If this is something you feel would benefit your child, please let your child know that he/she may bring up the agenda book after class. Whether I initial the agenda book or not, I do ask you to verify that your child is using their agenda book and is completing their assigned work.

In addition to completing any written assignments, your child is advised to spend 10 - 15 minutes each evening reviewing what was covered in class that day.

If needed, after school tutoring is available, Monday-Thursday, from 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Prior arrangements, preferably in writing, need to be made so that I can make sure my schedule is free, and so that I am sure that transportation home has been arranged. Mr. Rust, our Guidance counselor or the office may be able to recommend other tutoring services.

Science is not every childs favorite subject and not every child will choose a career in a scientific field. Every child, however, needs to learn organizational skills, time management and how to act responsibly, no matter what roads he/she chooses to travel.

Work with your child, but do not do the work for him/her. Frequently check to see if your child is keeping a well-organized science notebook, making proper use of an agenda book, and maintaining regular study habits. These are learned skills that lead to satisfaction and success. I hope your child finds both.
